common causes of Hyperpigmentation &
Dark Spots

Hyperpigmentation and dark spots are caused by several factors, including prolonged sun exposure that triggers excess melanin production, hormonal changes such as pregnancy or birth control leading to melasma, post-inflammatory marks from acne or skin injuries, and the natural ageing process that results in age spots. Additionally, certain medications or harsh treatments can make the skin more sensitive and prone to discolouration. Understanding these common causes is the first step toward preventing dark spots and choosing the right treatments for a clear, radiant complexion.

recommended treatments for Hyperpigmentation & Dark Spots

Non-inflammatory (Mandelic and Salicylic acid) can be done during summer and winter season, as it’s not aggressive and peeling or flacking off is non to minimal. Takes 2 days to 5 days to heal. It is crucial to protect the skin from the sun post-treatment and follow the recommended aftercare guidelines.

Regular microneedling stimulates collagen production and promotes cell turnover, which can improve uneven skin tone, reduce pigmentation from sun damage improve the appearance of rosacea, fights aging and reduces saggy skin.
